2025 Fall 3/4 Grade Field Hockey League  

Dates: 8/16, 8/23, 8/30, 9/6, 9/20, 9/27 

Time: 10:00am-12:00pm (depending on number of teams participating) 

Game Rules:  

• 7 vs 7 (6 Field Players & Goalie or 7 Field players)  

• 8-minute quarters. 

• Running clock.  

• No timeouts 

• 2 minutes between quarters  

• 3-minute half time 

• Mandatory heat stoppage when warranted. The League will follow the KHSAA Heat Regulations. 

• Penalty corners or penalty strokes awarded before the end of the game will be completed only if it impacts the outcome of the game.  

• Penalty Corners will be played with 3 players and a goalie or 4 field players (Corner Masks Required). Remaining players will go to the top of the other circle. 

• MERCY RULE: Game stoppage occurs when one team has established a 10-point margin. Half of the game must be played before it is complete. 

• T shirts will be allowed but teams must have a white and a dark set of shin guard sleeves. 

• The league will follow the NFHS rulebook unless otherwise noted in the special rules.   

 

League Fee & Rules: $150 per Team (***Limited to first 16 teams registered)  

• All teams will be capped at 16 total roster spots 

• All players on each team must be current students at the school they represent.  No combining of schools.  

• All participants must have a waiver on file with the league prior to the first game of August 16th, and Coaches must submit rosters by August 9th.  

• This league will be officiated by mixed-level officials with experienced officials present. 

• All coaches and athletes will adhere to all league rules and display good sportsmanship at all times.  

• The League Commissioner reserves the right to modify the game schedule, duration of games, rules governing play, standings, etc. in the event of inclement weather or extreme heat.
